A Personal Invitation to Paradise: Your Guide to Kayaking & SUP in Providenciales
Of all the incredible sights Provo has to offer, my absolute favorite is the magic found within our shallow, crystal-clear mangrove channels. I designed this guide so you can experience the island’s true peace – a chance to slow down, disconnect, and feel completely refreshed. Forget the noise and crowds; this is where you connect with nature in the most beautiful, gentle way.

Discovering the Mangrove Sanctuary: A Meditative Paddle
Only less than a mile from us in Leeward Marina you can Rent kayaks and SUP paddlebords from Big Blue Collective, or in Walkin Marina from Caribbean Cruisin. See a list of Kayak & SUP provides below
The Vibe: Paddling through the winding channels of the mangroves (primarily in the Princess Alexandra National Park near Mangrove Cay) is like entering a natural, silent cathedral. The water is incredibly calm and shallow, sheltered from the ocean winds, making it perfect for all skill levels – even first-timers.
The Feeling: The mangroves are often called the ‘lungs’ of the island. The sheer clarity of the water combined with the rhythmic motion of paddling is uniquely tranquil, providing a meditative experience that washes away stress.
The shallow, protected waters are a nursery for marine life. Your high vantage point from a kayak or SUP gives you an unparalleled view of:
- Sea Turtles : You will see many Green and Hawksbill Turtles as they glide effortlessly beneath you or come up for a quick breath.
- Shallow Water Life: Lemon Sharks, curious Southern Brown Stingrays, Starfish, and colorful Queen Conch.
- Bird Watching: Keep an eye out for diverse bird species like Brown Pelicans, Green Herons, and Reddish Egrets nesting in the trees.
- If your tour visits Little Water Cay or Donna Cay, you will see the endangered Turks and Caicos Rock Iguanas.
